YFIRE International Ministries is a New Zealand registered charity. This page explains, in plain words, what happens to your information when you visit yfire.org, and how we use the Google tools we run under the YFIRE name. Our members platform (app.yfire.org) will carry its own privacy notice when it opens.

The short version. We run no analytics. We run no advertising or tracking pixels. This site sets no cookies of its own. We don’t build profiles of visitors, and we never sell or rent anyone’s details. The only personal information we collect through this site is an email address if you join our list, and the details you choose to give when you donate.

Who we are

YFIRE International Ministries — Yeshua’s Friends In Reaching Everyone. NZ Registered Charity CC64776 · NZBN 9429053887665. Our registered address is listed on the New Zealand Charities Register under CC64776. For anything on this page, write to info@yfire.org.

What we collect

If you join the house (our email list), we store the email address you typed, which page you signed up from, and the date and time. That is the whole record. We use it to send you ministry updates — teaching, the fasting call and news from the house, which may include invitations to events and to give.

If you give, see “Giving” below.

If you do neither, we collect no personal information about you. There is no account to create, nothing to log in to, and no tracking of what you read or how long you stay.

What your browser stores on your device

The site keeps two small, purely practical notes in your own browser — that you dismissed a notice, and where you were up to in the music player. They stay on your device, they are not personal information, and clearing your browser data removes them. Nothing here follows you between sites.

Services we rely on

Running a website means other companies are involved. These are ours, and what each one can see:

  • Netlify — hosts the site. Like any web host it keeps standard server logs, which include visitors’ IP addresses, for security and reliability.
  • Google Fonts — delivers the typefaces the site is set in. Your browser requests them from Google, so Google can see your IP address.
  • Google Firebase — stores the email list described above, and hosts the audio files for the player, so when you play a track your browser fetches it from Google, which can see your IP address as with the fonts.
  • Stripe — handles giving. See below.

These providers store data on servers outside New Zealand, mainly in the United States. They hold it only to provide their service to us and may not use it for their own purposes.

We also link out to YouTube, Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon and Facebook. Once you follow a link off this site you are on their service, under their terms and their privacy policy, not ours.

Giving

Donations are processed entirely by Stripe. Your card details go to Stripe and are never sent to, stored by, or visible to us. We can see the details you enter at Stripe’s checkout — your name, email, billing details and the amount — which we use to thank you, to issue receipts, and to keep the records a registered charity must keep. We don’t add donors to our email list unless they join it themselves.

Our YouTube channel tools

YFIRE uses Google’s YouTube APIs, through a Google Cloud project in the YFIRE name, so that our own team can upload videos to and read statistics for the ministry’s YouTube channel (@yfireim). Only Google accounts belonging to the ministry are connected. Visitors to yfire.org are never asked to sign in with Google, and we access no visitor’s Google data. The access tokens are kept on ministry-controlled equipment and are not shared with anyone else. YFIRE’s use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

How long we keep things

We keep your email address while we send the list, and for no more than three months after we stop sending it. Donation records are kept for seven years, as New Zealand charity and tax rules require.

Your rights

Under the Privacy Act 2020 you have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you and to have it corrected; we answer within 20 working days. We go further: ask us to delete it and we will.

You can ask us to stop emailing you at any time — reply to any email and say so, or write to info@yfire.org. We then remove your address from the list, keeping only a note not to email you again so you aren’t added back by mistake.

Children

This site is intended for a general audience and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us their email address, tell us and we will remove it.

Keeping it safe

The site is served over HTTPS and the email list is held in access-controlled storage that only the ministry can read. No system is perfect, but we keep what we hold to the minimum so that there is very little to lose.

Changes to this page

If we change how any of this works, we will update this page and change the date at the top.
